Timber Frames - Log Cabins
General Information
All timbers/logs are labeled with their location and plans with all parts labeled will be provided. Frame includes bent timbers, bracing, roof rafters and any other structural elements in the frame. Floor decking, roof decking, sill beams, floor joists and any foundation not included. If any original timbers are compromised, material suitable to make replacements will be provided.

We are rebuilding this 1800's log cabin on our property in our spare time. If you are looking to build on vacation property these cabins make wonderful living spaces. If you are looking to live a simpler life-- these cabins are for you. The timber frames can also be made into many different dwellings for living or storage.
Cabin 4: 29’ x 40’

This unique cabin was located in Chaseburg, WI and was taken down in 2009. It has been stored in a covered building. It is an L-shaped cabin, primarily large oak logs. It also has unique interior log walls. It is a story and a half with 7 window and 6 exterior door openings. There are also hand hewn floor/loft joists.
Cabin 5: 16’ x 24’
This cabin was located in Black River Falls, WI and was taken down in 2010. It has pine logs and is a story and a half. It has 7 window and 2 exterior door openings.
Cabin 7: 18' x 22' with 12' timber frame addition
This cabin was located in Manitowoc, WI and was taken down in 2014. It is a story and a half. Peak height is 17'. There are 3 window and 1 door openings.
Cabin 8: 16 x 20'

This cabin was located in Custer, WI and was taken down in 2015. It is one story with a loft. Peak height is 12'4". There are 3 window and 2 door openings.
Cabin 9: 22' x 32'

This cabin was located in Hillpoint, WI. It was taken down in 2016. Logs are hewn oak. This cabin is a story and a half. It has 9 window and 3 exterior door openings. Oak 2x4 rafters and pine 2x10 loft joists included.
Cabin 13: 20' x 26' with 17' x 24' Addition

This cabin was located in Boscobel, WI. It was taken down in 2017. Logs are hewn oak and poplar and it is a story and a half with 10 window and 4 exterior door openings.
Cabin 14: 17' x 22' with 14' x 16' Addition
This cabin was located in Baraboo, WI and was taken down in 2017. Logs are hewn oak and it is a story and a half with 11 window and 5 exterior door openings as well as one opening that was a wood shoot into the basement (visible in picture 3). Peak height is 21 feet.
Log Barn 15: 14' x 15'

This cabin was located in Baraboo, WI, on the same farm as cabin 14. It was taken down in 2017. Logs are hewn oak and it is a story and a half with 1 window and 1 exterior door openings.

This cabin was located in Bloomingdale, WI and was taken down in 2020. It has hewn hardwood logs and is a story and a half. It has 4 window and 2 exterior door openings as well as a large opening that was a garage door.

This cabin was located in North Freedom, WI and was taken down in 2021. It has hewn oak logs and is a story and a half.

This building was located in Kewaskum, WI and taken down in 2012. The frame has 17’6” sidewalls. It is a 4 bent/3 bay structure. Timbers are all hand hewn white oak. Includes built in ladder.

This building was located in Mishicot, WI and was taken down in 2014. The frame has 11' sidewalls and 23' peak height. It is a 5 bent/4 bay structure with 3 doors and a full loft. The timbers are rough sawn hardwood.

This building was located in Campbellsport, WI and taken down in 2015. It was 2 barns built end to end and the Timber Frame 25 is the end with the brick foundation. The other barn is Timber Frame 26. This frame has 15' sidewalls. It is a 3 bent/2 bay structure. Timbers are hewn white oak.

Timber Frame 33: 16' x 20' Granary
This building was located in Avoca, WI and taken down in 2017. The frame has 7'6" sidewalls and a peak height of 13'3". It is an open floor plan. Timbers are sawn pine.
Timber Frame 34: 44' x 64'

This building was located in Shullsburg, WI and taken down in 2017. The frame has 17’8" sidewalls and a peak height of 30'6"'. It is a 4 bent/3 bay structure. Timbers are sawn pine. This frame had a couple unique features: the top plate is grooved so the siding fits up into the beam and the tie beams extend outside the wall and are scalloped on the ends.

This building was taken down in 2019. The frame has 11’4” sidewalls and a peak height of 18’9”. It is a 4 bent/3 bay structure. Timbers are sawn pine.
Timber Frame 38: 28' x 71'
This building was taken down in 2019. The frame has 15' sidewalls and a peak height of 24'. The original structure was 4 bent/3 bay but an addition was put on so it is a total of 5 bent/4 bay. Timbers are hewn oak.
Timber Frame 39: 24' x 36'
This building was located in Manitowoc, WI and taken down in 2020. The frame has 11'11"’ sidewalls and a peak height of 21'8”. It is a 4 bent/3 bay structure. Timbers are a mixture of hard and softwood, hewn and sawn.
Timber Frame 40: 22' x 40
This building was located in North Freedom, WI and taken down in 2021. The frame has 11'4"’ sidewalls and a peak height of 21’6”. It is a 5 bent/4 bay structure. Timbers are rough sawn oak.
Timber Frame 41: 22' x 30' with 4' overhang
This building was located in Yuba, WI and taken down in 2021. The frame has a peak height of 12' 7". It is a 4 bent/3 bay structure. Timbers are sawn hardwood and pine.
